"This is a historic and authentic home which has been updated with the conveniences that count. The hosts are extremely gracious and personable. St. Mary’s is a quaint Southern town with a downtown and waters edge that is undergoing revitalization.

The amenities and furnishings of the home are first class. Enjoy coffee on the porch in a rocking chair in the morning or a glass of wine on the back balcony at night.

Possibly the best VRBO that we have stayed in and we will definitely be back.

Simply amazing!"

"Beautiful old house in historic St Mary’s GA. The large historic house is beautifully decorated inside. The front porch or the large back deck are perfect for morning coffee. The house is a short walk to shops, restaurants, and the beautiful St Mary’s river. The owners are a delight to work with and went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable!

"Saint Mary’s is a short four and half-to five hour drive from Atlanta. The scenery to Saint Mary’s along with the drive is pretty straight and fun. My partner and I put the address into the GPS and between talking, driving, laughing and generally recuperating from our shelter in place experience, found we arrived in hardly no time. Upon entering the historic district in Saint Mary’s (where the Federal Quarters is located) I could hardly believe my eyes! The historic building seemed to occupy a full city block. The building’s presence was striking. Parking was immense and I felt as if we had arrived at the wrong establishment when my friend boldly announced, this is it! Rebecca had sent her a picture which simply did not do the place justice.

After being warmly greeted and given a personal tour- along with an oral briefing on significant historic markers on the premises, our hosts treated us to what only can be described as a taste of heaven!

For those near or far that want to enjoy a quiet walk on the Saint Mary’s River, or enjoy the trimmings and hospitality of local townspeople who have not lost the sense of themselves, then we encourage you to book a stay at the Federal Quarters as soon as possible. It will be an experience you will never forget and keep you coming back time and time again."

"What a charming stay!

My wife and I were fortunate to stay in the Federal Quarters over the weekend of February 21-23, 2020. The town of St. Mary's was hosting a Mardi Gras parade and we had front row seats from the expansive front porch! It was delightful!

For lovers of American history and for a quiet, peaceful place to relax, the Federal Quarters offers the opportunity to connect with a slice of our country's heritage, and does not disappoint. The home is beautifully appointed and is mere footsteps away from a variety of restaurants and shops.

Think about this. This home is only 25 years older than our country's creation! And, the story it has to tell is well worth stopping to listen to it. Take this stately house, insert it into the lovely small coastal town of St. Marys, and you'll have a memorable getaway.

Sitting around the cozy kitchen on a weekend morning is a treat. You'll enjoy the gracious hospitality of Keegan & Rebecca Federal as they help you choose from numerous available area coastal activities.

P.S. Don't forget to allow time to visit nearby Cumberland Island while there."

"We stayed at the Federal Quarters for a long weekend in beautiful St. Marys. The property is immaculate. The attention to detail in each room is remarkable. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the owners who gave a historical tour of the property. The house itself is rich in history as is the town of St. Marys. Every amenity you could want was here. If you are a history fan, this is a definite must, and if you are not, this still a top notch property. Our hosts were gracious and available if we needed anything. They were helpful in arranging the ferry to Cumberland, and acquiring bikes and kayaks for weekday outings. The kitchen has everything you would need. We took advantage of using the golf cart and the Model A. This made cruising around the shore/ neighborhood an adventure. The property is within the historical district so everything is in walking distance.

The property owners have thought of everything down to the smallest detail to make your stay an amazing experience. This was the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. I don't think any property in the future could equal the hospitality and amenities offered at the Federal Quarters.

Thank you, Mr and Mrs. Federal for an amazing experience and weekend getaway!"
